Have a look at John Vanderheidens site. He built a huge model from scratch.
It should be no problem to scale the plans and model down to something mangable and the scale of your choice.
John has created a great website on the how to's.

It's gonna be great when you finish it!! Sorry I cannot help. BTW, on your sight, everything should be in the past tense. The last Typhoon was scrapped several years ago.

Don't worry about the Fiberglass, use a tubed bushing they make then for R/C boats.

I am wondering how to fiberglass a submarine hull as well as how to seal the watertight container where the prop shaft enters.
