The best place, for info on R/C subs, is found at the Sub Committee site
<< http://www.subcommittee.com/ >>
If you decide to join, the group puts out a news letter that'll blow your socks off.
If you're into subs, especially R/C, this is the place to go.

Hey Mike- "newsletter"?? It's a magazine man! c'mon! Big Smile [:D]

It's called "The Report" and it's a great read, and a great reference. Worth every penny of the membership.

Ahoy sweetrevengeX850,

Go to the following sites and you will find loads of info and
pics.
At these forums lots of RC submariners will be glad to help
you with your questions.

Also look up the subcommittee, as mentioned by the others,
they are a group with their own magazine, specializing in
RC submarines.

www.rcgroups.com
www.subcommittee.com

Good luck,
Have a nice day and happy modeling !

I don't think the submarine would fit into a "combat" group the expense is about the same though.
At least Hunt down a local scale model club in your area, Sub Committee or RC groups ought to be able to assist you in the search.

Oh, and RC boats are not that expensive...
RG is keeping a running tab...
Cost - Total to date: - $161.60 Wink [;)]

the only part that might be expensive is the cost of a recovery if the sub dives too deep and the engine failsWink [;)]

Actually they make a Loss of signal safety that can be installed in submarines to "stop the engines, and let the boat rise if it is a "dynamic diving" boat which needs forward momentum to keep it submerged, OR, blow the ballast if submarine is a "static diving" boat, which means the model takes on or removes water to submerge or surface.

Most RC sub pilots do prefer shallow concrete bottom man made ponds though.Wink [;)]

TIP FOR SUBMARINES-1)ALWAYS sail them where ya can see them, unless they are bright yellow!!! 2) DONT LET THEM SINK!!!!! lots of money, time and effort goes with them..... my 2 fatal mistakes that led to the loss of ma revell uboat. got it recovered in the end and its now on display in my bedroom (17), but the radio was a rite-off. it was only and old cheap set though.....Boohoo [BH]Sad [:(]
