1/350 anchor chain
Posted by emo07 on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 9:47 AM
Hi, I am building the Trumpeter 1/350 USS North Carolina and will replace the moulded on anchor chain with something more realistic looking. Does anyone know where to obtain suitable chain ?

See the armor aftermarket products; Tiger Model Designs makes some very nice chain.

The very fine has more links per inch than the finest model railroad chain which is about 45 LPI

Thanks EdGrune,
I think this chain is too small for my application and the links on anchor chains may be different. I will check it out, though.

You might try going to a local jewelry shop. You can get all you need from the repair person. I got about one foot of actual chain pf the smallest links for nichts. Of course I do all of my gift buying there.
I used the chain when I built the 1/350 Fletcher class destroyer. Try it, I hope this helps.
