Liberty ship stack question.
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 9:22 AM
Fellow Board members:

Would someone have any information on weather the interior od the ship stack was sperated in to divisions? I think they are called spliters.

Thanks in advance

Dick,

There is a single one fore-and-aft divider on the centerline separating the port and starboard boiler uptakes.

That is one advantage to 1/700 scale ... some things you just don't have to worry about! Unlike detailing the open lifeboats, with their photoetched oars (5 per boat) and tiller ... trying to attach the life rings to the railings faster than you can lose them in the carpet ... wondering how you can possibly fit a photoetched ladder in there ... and how the heck are you supposed to rig these cargo boons, anyway? Big Smile [:D]
