050813-N-8492C-230 Pacific Ocean (Aug. 13, 2005) – The amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), the guided missile destroyer USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54), the guided missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville (CG 62), the guided missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62), and USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) underway during a formation exercise with Destroyer Squadron Fifteen. The Kitty Hawk Carrier Strike Group is participating in the 3rd annual Joint Air and Sea Exercise (JASEX) with the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps in the Western Pacific. JASEX focuses on integrated joint training proficiency in detecting, locating, tracking and engaging units at sea, in the air, and on land, in response to a range of mission areas.
