If you're going to post Dept. of the Navy photos, please credit them appropriately. Not doing so is a disservice to the Navy and disrepectful to those that actually took the images. JH

050813-N-8492C-230 Pacific Ocean (Aug. 13, 2005) – The amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), the guided missile destroyer USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54), the guided missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville (CG 62), the guided missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62), and USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) underway during a formation exercise with Destroyer Squadron Fifteen. The Kitty Hawk Carrier Strike Group is participating in the 3rd annual Joint Air and Sea Exercise (JASEX) with the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps in the Western Pacific. JASEX focuses on integrated joint training proficiency in detecting, locating, tracking and engaging units at sea, in the air, and on land, in response to a range of mission areas. nice pic!!! that's the first time I have seen a pic of the new Boxer... looks good! I'm an old LPH sailor myself, they can keep those newfangled contraptions! (hahaha actually would have loved to serve on something that updated in the gator fleet)
