Finally! Victory ship on its way

The 1/700 Victory ship I built for my Dad is on its way to him, entrusted to the tender mercies of UPS. Fingers crossed. This model represents the S.S. La Crosse Victory as she appeared in mid-1945. Here are a few pictures of the Loose Cannon Productions resin ship, which I embelished with photoetch and resin aftermarket details from Toms Modelworks, Gold Medal Models, White Ensign Models and Skywave.

Whew!!!!! Big Smile [:D]

Very nice job! It'll look great on a mantle or desk. And you triumphed over adversary.

Just heard from my Dad. The box arrived in fine shape, as did the model, and he is thrilled and amazed. I heard, "How did you do THAT, son?" more than once.

Only down side is the plaque came loose and ratttled around inside the cover, knocking off the gun deck of all things! But Dad said he put both back where they belong and it looks fine. He's happy, and I just have to remember to pack superglue and a few other bits the next time I go down there.
