Modern US Navy Ships
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, December 7, 2002 1:44 PM
Hi!

Question [?]Recently I was perusing through FSM and I spotted an ad for a company that offers various US Navy ships but the one I'm interested in isn't that well known. It's ( I believe) a California Class ship, the USS South Carolina. Could anyone help in pinning this elusive ship model down with me?

Resin kits are most easily obtained by mail order or on the web:
http://www.pacificfront.com
http://www.modelshipbuilding.com
http://www.tridenthobbies.com

1/700 Resin kits from:
waveline: USS California can be used to make USS South Carolina.
JAG Collective: USS California (very highly detailed).

Chasing the ultimate build.

Why the Socar? The reason I'm asking is because I work with guys who were crew members and I used to work on it quite a bit. We all loved that particular ship.

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
