Still Alive!
Posted by Big Jake on Friday, September 23, 2005 9:25 AM
Hi folks,

Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know we're still alive and kicking ... way down 'yonder in New Orleans..

I was able to find ahouse to move my family to in Slidell, LA. it even has a 2 car garage, that will help witht the 'ol truck issue. The plan for rescuing the models is the following:

Large garbage bags, 1 model per bag, stored in a large plastic container. I'm really only will fight for the ship in the collection, everything else takes a backseat. I wonder if Hub hobby will have a clearence sale?

Family is well, everything else comes after.

Jake in Chalmette.....Ground Zero for Katrina!

Great Jake, we just got family from Houston, many whom left Gulfport almost a month ago.

One family member jokes that he went to Tennessee to pick up his trailer house, since that is where he thinks it landed.

Man, what a year! Keep up your spirits.

Great news indeed, Jake! Hope you're able to salvage at least some of your sailing ship kit collection. There aren't many like it.

For the moment though - hang on tight. I haven't seen an update since early this morning, but at that time it looked like the New Orleans area was going to get more rain from Rita than it wants - and maybe more than it can handle.

Good luck. Please do keep us posted when you can. We're thinking about you.

We in Houston have dodged the storm. Big Smile [:D] Beaumont, Texas has taken it on the chin. Black Eye [B)] The eye came ashore in Jefferson county Texas, the outter bands came in all across southern Louisiana.

Chasing the ultimate build.

Glad to hear your doing good Jake hopefully rita is not to much of a set back and i wiss they would have gotten their act together down there sooner. Looks like the US military will be picking up a new mission since we have been good at helping other countires after natural disasters time we put that to use helping ourselves at home

Good news Jake. I was wondering how you fared.

Snow last winter, and getting slammed so hard this Hurricane season. Did you by chance make any supernatural enemies?
