I'm building the Revell AG Victory (small), and wondering how best to go about the copper plating.
I've thought about first painting with copper enamel, then painting over that with a patina green with lighter and darker shades. And then coating it all with enamel thinner (comes in 1/4 oz. bottle) and letting the colors blend.
I've also thought about painting plates with copper enamel, and then coating with patina green (in lighter and darker shades) using weathering pastels.
Can anyone comment on my ideas, or is there a better idea?
I realize that there is a lot of debate about what a copper bottom looks like, but the patina green is the way I want to go.
Thanks,
Dave
