To everyone who has assembled the trumpeter 1/350 Aircraft for carrier kits did you find it easier to paint them first or assemble them first? i bought a few extras to practice with but would like everyone else thoughts before i start

Here's what I did. I built the planes by putting the fuse. halves together and added the wings and stabs. Then they were painted, then decaled. Then I added the props, landing gear and canopies, doing the canopies very last. Hope that helps you, Mike

Great tips. I can recommend photo-etch to replace the way-too-chunky undercarriage on these small scale aircraft. It does require alot of patience thoughBanged Head [banghead]

Thanks for the inspirational pictures do you have any of the AC painted? you sure picked the right plane to win me over with tomcats are my favorite and i am sadden to seem them being retired from the fleet (just means i am getting old)
