Many thanks to responders. Global Security , SteelNavy plus CV-63's own home page were big help.

Tank,
The globalsecurity site is great, if only for the incredible amount of information on weapons systems and island configurations. The info on CVX is really nice, too. All of the info is as accurate as I have seen. Great site.

Check out this site too. IF you want to look at other ships just change the (cv-63) to the ship you want. You'll get some great pictures off this site.

Try out this site:

Most of the pictures are pretty up to date, if not the best quality.

Check out Steelnavy, com. Look at the aircraft carrier link. The pictures are of the Conny CV-64, but it might give some good references. I am planning to do the same except I am going to do this on a 350 scale Enterprise. I just haven't built up the nerve to butcher the ship yet!

Can anyone point me to refs on how to convert this hull into reasonable resemblance of what CV-63 is today or after the SLEP of 1965?
