This is the sort of thing that's difficult to prove decisively, but I have trouble thinking of this old kit as a serious scale model. It certainly doesn't look much like any actual vessel that's ever come to my attention.
The kit has some interest in terms of the history of the hobby. I don't know the date when it was originally released (I constantly find myself referring to Thomas Graham's Remembering Revell Model Kits, but I don't have his volume on Aurora), but I suspect it may have been the first plastic sailing ship on the market. (The first Revell one was the orginal Constitution, which dates from 1956.)
I think I remember seeing the old Aurora kit in a fresh box with the label of one of the Czech manufacturers on it. Some things never die.
Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.
