Weathering the deck of Pamir

This sounds like a good plan. Dry brushing such things is out of my range at the moment. I think this will get me over this part ofthe stumbling block into the next one.

Try using a # 2 artist pencil.First on the gaps take a sharp object like and awl and pull it through the lines. Than take the pencil and pull it through the same lines. This gives a very realistic plank and caulking look.After you have done that spray the deck with a dull coate to keep the lead from being spread every time you touch the deck.Make sure to keep your pencil vey sharp while doing this.

On the raised caulking lines use the same #2 pencil but turn it on its side and rub it on almost like dry brushing.Here again you need to cover this with dull coate it will spread eaiser on the raised lines.You might want to do a few lines spray it do a few more etc.etc.Hope that helps.
