Thanks - I have that photo, but I had not been able to determine the exact location of 20mm and 40mm tubs on the Johnston.  Appreciate the help.

DD 557 USS Johnston configuration

I'm building a model of the USS Johnston.  First, it's been a very long time since I built anything.  I love all the new materials, and I'm looking forward to learning to use them.  You folks were kind enough to point me to Tom's Models, where I was lucky enough to score one of his last conversion kits for the Tamiya 1/350 Fletcher to the later model square bridge. I'm starting to do my research on using all these great parts, and again I solicit your assistance.  Where can I find details on the exact armament configuration of the chosen ship?  I've been to all the Johnston / Taffy 3 websites, and found the list of  weapons systems, and collected what photos I can find, but I'm still not sure what guns were mounted where.  Can anyone show me where to find the exact location of guns on my specific ship?  Also, the photo-etched parts are beautiful, but the application details are rather sketchy.  Any help on what parts go where would be very helpful.  Appreciate all of your help.  I know I'll be coming back again and again for help on this - I've never worked with resin aftermarket parts, or with photo-etched parts.  I love WWII naval history, and am really looking forward to building a replica of one of the most famous destroyers in naval history.
