You didn't read the fine print.   The 17.5 VAT is for UK [and EU?] customers.   No VAT on WEM purchases in the States

You didn't read the fine print.   WEM does not charge for shipping their own products worldwide.  Shipping is free for their aircraft  to the States.

Fine print follows.

Post back with your address.  I have some unused 1:700 scale aircraft I can send you

Yes, their stuff looks quite nice, and they have a large selection.  However 3 pounds plus 17.5% tax plus postage to the states is a lot more than I am willing to spend for three F-4's!  I was really hoping for a couple that somebody had in their spare parts box that I could get for a couple of bucks plus postage.  Yes, I'm cheap!

Thanks,

Doug Stump

Or you could get exactly what you want from White Ensign Models - I've bought some of their small resin products and they are moderately priced and off good quality. Their airplane and helicopter offerings in 1/700 are quite extensive.

I'm looking for 4 to 5 very small aircraft from an aircraft carrier model.  If anybody has some in their parts box, I can use any era, prop or jet, US or foreign.  I want them for "toys" in the playground on my train layout. 1/350 would be too big, I need 1/700 scale.

Thanks,
