Has anyone tried any of the detail sets from Great Little Ships, namely their 1/72 sets for the Revell HMCS Snowberry? I'm thinking of trying a couple, but don't know if they're any good.Cool [8D]

I am using the complete set for the HMS Snowberry, it is a great update set, but be prepared for alot of work, over 90% of the original kit is replaced with brass and white metal. Good idea to learn soldering too, I have done miles of it, and I have only completed the fore and aft decks. Study the intructions carefully, they cover both Snowberry and Bluebell, though any Corvette can be built.

I highly recommend David's sets they are always a good buy.

Good Luck

I don't think I'd use the entire set, but I'd be interested in buying the replacement Oerlikions, Lewis guns and the two-pounder pom-pom, and probably the guardrail stanchions. I've just completed the hull, so I still have the choice of how much 'add- ons' to use.Smile [:)]

Thanks for the advice.Big Smile [:D]
