Jeff Herne (of FSM fame) should be able to answer some of your questions on the backside of a Fletcher's bridge. He wrote a book on Fletchers, so he may have a picture or two laying around.
In the meantime - check the photo archives at the USNHC. They have some good detail photos such as these
