Heya, only me again. I was wondering, i've scratched the Skipjack idea as it is too small for me
(for now at least!!) and i have purchased the Trumpy 1/144 USS Seawolf kit (Ouch!!
) and i am going to use standard radio with standard servos. I was wondering, i've seen a few kits that have been converted to r/c and sent a few emails, but have had no replies. I am waiting for the kit to arrive and i was wondering if anyone here has built it, and if so are there any serious faults with it such as poor fits and big gaps, the usual stuff!! I have thought up and sketched out a way of keeping water out of the hull, by using a tight fitting tube and shaft and waterproofing the rear and bow sections where the 'planes are and having the push shafts running through the black rubber bellowy things that are suppoosed to work, would this work
?? Has anyone any ideas of how to do this better
?? It seems silly asking but after this much money (a BIG dent out of the wallet this time!!
) i don't want to see my baby sinking on her maiden voyage in the uncle's pool!!
Thanks in advance, Dan Ford.
