Ed has recommended a very good site that covers all points of Naval camo very well. Its one to hang on to.

Weathering the flight deck still rears its head on this subject. The Pacific sun faded the stain and avgas spills would certainly have lightened it too. Oil drips would have left spots, you get the idea.

Model Master has the 25N deck stain, I'm sure other manufacturers offer it like White Ensign Models, etc.

All the more interesting things to do with your Corsair and Avenger.

Never went from wood to black ...

They went from mahogany-stained fir to various shades of blue and blue-gray.
