No problem Mike. Yeah, Rokket, one hell of an operation. And no break afterwards.

From Jess's pix, I'd say block & tackle were the major components, and it looked like a couple different rigs there. Sure was a major operation!

Thanks, Jess, those are a big help. From the looks, there'll only be a little adjusting, to get the WEM set to look right.

Hi Mike,

I just uploaded 18 pics of torpedos in the process of being loaded. I also included a series of shots of U-564's crew removing a torpedo from the forward container and loading it into the boat, while at sea.
You can click on the images and get a bigger picture, too.

Hope this helps you and whoever else needs.

That's it, Jess. Photos of an actual loading would be exactly what I need. The torpedo from WEM looks great, but I do question the skid, skid support structure and loading boom arrangement. Thanks for the offer.

Hi Guys,

here's a couple of links showing some modelers' topredos loaded. I don't know if they are WEM's, but I thought they could help. If you like, I have a couple of pics of actual torpedos being loaded. Just let me know.

The second one is obviously not WEM, but is much closer to simulating the torpedo loading procedure.

Thank you, Nav 334. Those pictures would be most helpful. Especially in a couple of months, when I get to that point. But, for me, actual photos of torpedoes being loaded would be even more helpful.

Also, I note that, according to recent posts here, and elsewhere, that the Germans used a separate, portable winch for loading fish. I'd sure like to see, just how this arrangement laid out.

I want to use the White Ensigin 1/72 Torpedo Loading set on my Revell U boat  but can't find a photo anywhere of the completed kit . Anybody know where there are some photos posted?
