I just remembered another (more complete) reference that I used. Erik Ronnberg wrote a very complete treatise on the Gloucester sloop boats in the Jan/Feb (No, 152) issue of WoodenBoat Magazine. It contains photos of actual sloop boats as well as of Erik's models of VESTA and LAURA ENOS. There are also more definitive plans of the boats. Back issues of the magazine are available from  WoodenBoat Tel. 207-359-4651.

Hello Carl,

I built Vesta in 1:96 scale about two years ago. I used the illustration on Page 113 of Howard Chapelle's book "American Sailing Craft" published in 1975 by International Marine Publishing Company of Camden, Maine. It is included in a whole chapter on Gloucester sloop boats which you will probably find helpful.

The profile shows all of the deck furniture and the half plan indicates their outlines and locations.

Hope this helps,

Gentlemen,
I am currently building a 1"-1' scale model of this vessel and will radio control it.  To date I have had no luck with finding deck plans, decking plans that are close enough for this effort.  I note on Google that some folks have, in fact, completed this boat model but, the web pages are not coming up..
Can you help me??
thanks
Carl
