That was a typo on my part, I meant Blockaderunner's Blue.  I'll check ou that Osprey title.  Thanks.

I don't know how well this may relate to blockaders, but I recently did some research on Confederate blockade runners and found a color drawing of BANSHEE II which was a slightly dark slate blue in color with light gray funnels, dech houses and turtleback. As another drawing in the book accurately reflected the reported color of the ship I was modeling I assume this may be accurate. The drawing is on page 24C of "Confederate Blockade Runner 1861-65" by Konstan and illustrated by Bryan, Osprey publishing, 48 pages, about $15.00.

Blockade Runner Blue Paint?

I picked up one of the new Verlinden CSS Palmetto State kits this weekend.  Very nicely cast.  A little lacking on some of the minor details (hand railings, boat davits, etc), but nothing that can't be easily scratch built.

My question is about her paint: several sources say she and her sister - blanking on the name right now - were painted in what was called Blockade Runner's Blue.  Is there anyone that has an idea of what shade that might be, or links to any references that might give a clue?

Thanks,

Devin
