I am assuming that you are only looking for a washer. It should be of the same material as the bolt. If this is for a wood hull, my guess would be galvanized steel was used originally. A local marina/ hull repair facility would be able to provide not only the information, but probably the part as well.

You're right, this is a desperate place to look for help on a 1:1 scale model. However, help is available. But not, necessarily, here.

The being said, there may be a few ship builders here, but you'll have to provide more info, like the propulsion (sail, motor?), hull style (catamaran, tri-maran, deep-V etc) size (30 feet, 60 feet, 120 feet, etc) and hull material (wood, fiber-glass, concrete, steel?). The more info, the better. Then wait and hope.

OR, you can find a marina, go there, and talk to the people there. If nothing else, they can point you to a good chandler. Who can, probably, supply you with what you need.

If you want to do this Online, do a search for Yachts. There is a huge number of yacht builders and ship chandlers out there, online.

If none of the above works for you, you'll just have to go take some naval architecture courses, at your local college. This will provide you with three things, the knowledge to do the job, contacts with people who do that kind of work, and, from them, sources for parts and tools.

Good luck,

Mike K.
