Hi

I am new here... i am from italy and my english is really terrible!!! but hope pleople will understand all...

Well i am here to share passion with tons of people...Actually i am building my first U-Boot. I am tring to be as i can realistic... i bought revell 1/72 u boot and different wintergarden (warhammer)  and also the PE from whitensign to build the torpedo loading... Pe form eduard and PE from modelbrass...
I also bought the pressure hull... at first time i was happy ... wow i can drill all ... i can do it... then when i tried to assemble it i saw that some hole of the pressure hull was wrong...
yeah belive me !!! it's a nice try but several holes are wrong like the forward reserve torpedo, galley hatch, no magnetic  compass ...a mismatch with the two waterthight ...all the pipes put ic confused positions..so i decided to build one.  I get anatomy of the ships and this is the first part of my work... well this will be a long long journey... actually i built only the central pressure hull and tring to built the bow one with the torpedo reserve container in the real dimension... the bought one has it but it is too short ... too little.... no gorup high pressure near torpedo loading hatch...

I have also other problems... i saw that in the early type early VII C near the torpedo there was a dinghy... but i have no info about it... can some one help me? have some one info about it?? do some one got better plan of what there is just under the brass deck??? pag 58, 60 and 64 from anatomy of the ships are the only one i got... and i need more details...

i try to give a link  about the builidng of the u-boot.

Hello and welcome to our happy little place.

I am not a builder of U-Boats, I know they go under water and have really cool logos of sharks and devils painted on the conning tower and thats about it, but just wanted to welcome you and to say that your English is far better than most of the people I work with, including me, whom were born, raised, and educated here in the USA.

A couple of ideas, do a search here on FSM for the 1/72 U-boat, for there are a few strings that discuss this model in depth.  One modeler has really gone to great depths (pun) in scratchbuilding the forwrad part that you are questioning. Also, have you visted U-boat.net?  Really great place for finding answers to those questions about small details.

Regards,
Scott

Benvenuto alla tribuna!

Ci è alot della gente qui che può aiutare e non si preoccupa per il vostro inglese, esso è migliore della maggior parte dei Americani!
