They are pricey, but worth every penny.  I used them in a ship diorama and will continue to use them.  In my opinion they look 200% better than PE figures (I've never seen those successfully pull off a 3D appearance) and add so much to a completed model.

I used these guys on my 1/350 Prince of Wales. The pictures are posted on this site if you want to check them out. Look around fifth page of this forum for it. I really like them, though as Ed says they can get expensive if you are going to crew a carrier. They come 50 or so to a pack, but there is usually a few of them damaged by clanging against each other in the bag. You can usually salvage the broken ones by gluing their limbs back on. Painted up and posed on the ship, they look very convincing.

Hope this helps,

Ted

L'Arsenal makes some of the finest aftermarket resin and brass accessories for ship modeling.   Their products come recommended.   However, at almost 12 Euros for 20 figures this could become an expensive proposition.  (Today's exchange rate is more than $1.21 per Euro).

If you intend on having a lot of figures I think I'd approach it from one of the PE figure sources.  Fatten the figures with white glue and paint.   Mixing these 3-D figures with the more 2-D figures will make the differences stand out like a sore thumb

I will be building Trumps Nimitz 68, and I need some people!
