I built a model of the Eagle by Entex in the same scale that looks a lot like that build.  Entex must used the same production molds as IMAI.

Jake, I too still need to copy those prints and get them mailed to you.  Havn't forgotten, just been really busy.

Jake

Jtilley is correct that is the Nippon Maru by Imai.I went and looked at my kit they match. They also made the Karo Maru.1/150 scale nice kit.looks like all the yards are missing and the display stand is different than in my kit.

Ps: Still have instruction sheets coming to you.

I think it's one of the big Japanese sail training ships - the Nippon Maru or her sister (whose name I've forgotten).  All the yards seem to be missing; that's probably why the vendor thought of it as a "steamer."

Imai used to make several Japanese sail training ships on different scales.  I've never sorted them all out, but I think this may be one of them.  It's also entirely possible that some other Japanese company has kitted them sometime or other.

Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.
