In the past I've used stick pin heads.  Drill a hole, cut the pin so it's just the head and a short bit of the pin, install with glue.

You may want to head over to www.disneysub.com

With the consideration of rivet I think the Nautilus is pretty well covered. THere are several threads there that deal with purchasing and doing your own rivets.

Hi,

I know of three places you can but scale rivets, just pick your size, and start gluing.

Grandt is the best source

making raised rivit detail

Hi all,

I'm making a turret for the USS Monitor, and have made a new one from scratch.  Does anyone have any idea on how to make the raised turret detail?  I am trying to make it as accurate as possible.  Also, does anyone have any idea what is on the top of the turret?  I have seen like a grid pattern of girders or something close...any idea on what material to use? Thanks in advance for all your help, everyone has been a great help!
