I'm afraid I can't help with the instructions, but I do remember the kit. The last time I built it, unfortunately, was quite a few years ago - when I was in high school, I think. I'm pretty sure the only literature that came with it was the usual instruction sheet.
If I remember correctly, the kit dates from either the late fifties or early sixties. It was an original Lindberg product - not a reissue of something from Pyro, as so many ship kits in now in Lindberg boxes are. I guess I have a slightly higher opinion of Lindberg's ship line than many other modelers do (though I agree completely with the aspersions that have been fired at such awful kits as the Lindberg Hood and "Blue Devil destroyer"). Some of the earlier Lindberg products were - for their time - pretty nice. The Clermont was one of them. I've never been a big fan of motorized models, but that one, with its carefully-concealed electric motor and batteries driving the more-or-less scale gears, piston, crosshead, etc., struck me as pretty ingenious. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that kit again. I imagine some of my pleasant memories would crash on the rocks of reality, but it would be a fun exercise in nostalgia.
For what it's worth, we had an interesting discussion of the Clermont sometime back here in the Forum. Here's the link: http://www.finescale.com/FSM/CS/forums/500757/ShowPost.aspx
Good luck.
