USS Enterprise in 1/350 by Academy - any good ?

I was at my local hobby shop today and looking at the two Enterprise Models on display.  The Enterprise by Tamiya in 1/350 was going for AU$240 while the other kit in the same scale (I think it was Academy) was retailing for $AU69.  Is the Tamiya kit 3 times better ? Is the Chinese Kit 3 times worse ?  I'm severely tempted to grab it at that price.

The cheaper Enterprise is a Tamiya knockoff.  The over all quality matches the cheap price. The plastice is softer, the detailing is not as crisp as Tamiya. I picked one up a couple of years ago and ended up giving it to my son when I did a side by side with the Tamiya Enterprise.

One other thing, it's not an Academy release. It's from a company called Mini Hobby Craft. Their prices are cheaper and so it the quality of their products!
