WW2 German Flak-Lighters Need Info Please...
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, August 10, 2003 9:22 PM
I have been looking for two years for information on German Flak-Lighters and am finding nothing.

Does anyone know of any books or any place I can get information and especially Line Drawings?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Ivan:
You might try a continuing series of books titled "Die Deutschen Kriegsshiffe 1815 - 1945", by Erich Groner edited by D. Jung and M. Maass.
This was also published as "German Warships 1815 - 1945". I have not seen the books personally but they are given as sources in the bibliographies of some of my other references. I assume the latter title is a translation.
Good luck in your search!

White Ensign Models makes a 1:350 scale resin & brass Flak Lighter.   The color instructions have several interesting camouflage variations.

It is a nice small subject that could serve as an introduction to resin ship modeling.
