Saddened by not having a response, but alas....

A specific question. On these Russian vessels, the deck is an orange color. I am only able to use rattle cans at the moment as I can not afford an airbrush. This being the case, what color should I paint the deck. Orange? A burnt orange if possible? I can get my hands on Tamiya paints at the moment.

Thanks for your help.

trumpeter 1/550 kiev: what to do?

I wrote before concerning this kit, but really didn't seem to get any replies but one. I hope I do not cause too much trouble by posting again.

I am about to start on my Kiev. I was wondering if there were any things which I should watch out for during this build, or some comments on what could be scratchbuilt to make it even a bit better.

This will be my first modern naval vessel build. I will most certainly make some grave errors but this is all a learning experience for me anyway. I hope to build the 1/350 Kutzenov and Enterprise in the future and this present kit will be a learning experience on how these type of kits go together.

I keep searching the net for info on this kit, but so far have found very very little in terms of the kit, not the ship. so any help, input, etc would be most welcome.
