I saw HMS Bounty when she was here for Tall Ships Chicago. She was built for the most recent remake of the "mutiny" movie, and, according to some of those I spoke with, was built quickly, and not of standard shipbuilding lumber. Many of her hull planks were beginning to come apart, and there was extensive wear and dryrot. Her masts, and one of the bridges on the Chicago river, had an unpleasant meeting, which didn't help things. I don't know how long she's been drydocked, but I suspect she'll be there longer than originally planned.

Just got back from a trip to Boothbay Harbor, Maine (highly recommended!). While there we found the HMS Bounty in drydock at the local shipyard. Snapped a few photos and thought some here might want to see them, just let me know.

Seeing as how I usually build wingy things or stuff with steel hulls I don't know what pics may be out there already, but I have been inspired to pick up a wooden ship kit.
