Try www.modelshipworld.com.  This is a new site; it's been up and running for only a few weeks.  It was founded by some of the same folks responsible for Drydock Models, but it caters to all kinds of ship models.  Drydock Models prides itself on appealing strictly to wood models of sailing vessels - or, as the founders insist on calling them, "TallShips."  Sheesh I wish that term would disappear.

Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.

Other ship modelling websites/forums?

I'd be interested to know if there are any other good ship modelling websites and/or forums out there.
Ones I know of are:

Modelwarships.com - great site with a busy forum, however (apart from the large-scale R/C enthusiasts) most of the members of this site seem to be 1/700 waterline fans. As a fan of ship models in the 1/72-1/250 scale range, I feel rather out of place on a forum where most members seem to consider even 1/350 an unreasonably large scale!

Steelnavy.com - very good site with great review + gallery section, but (IMHO) a very poor forum format. It also seems to focus a lot on limited-run resin kits, which are rather out of my league!

Drydockmodels.com - very impressive sailing ship modelling site (its gallery section is my main source of reference for sailing ship models), but concentrates entirely on wood models - from reading the forums, most members seem to look down on plastic models.

I've tried several Google searches, but haven't had much luck (as usual I just get loads of links to commercial sites)
