Most ship modelers know of the Scientific Model Co. but not because of the model range they offer ( a lot) but the amount of carving and scratch building you need to do with thier kits. I have turned down work because the client wanted me to build a SMC kit. The fittings are O.K. but once you get into the model build part you will notice what I'm talking about. Also you will probally need to do a bit more research on the particular kit you are trying to build. Over all I would rate them about 6 out of 10.

They've been around for decades...good quality kits with above average accuracy.

This company was quite well known in the 50s and 60s.
