This is to anyone who served in Boat Support Units / SEAL Teams stationed at NAB Coronado during the period of Sept '70- April '71. That's when I was a GMGSN assigned to MSSC and LSSC in the Delta, namely Seafloat/ Solid Anchor. I think that anyone can remember the size of those things and possibly remember that Dragon (DML) Models released an accurate model of the LSSC and several sets of VC, NVA and SEAL/ Boat crew for that particular line of models, which I no longer have any of that stuff as it served to only remind me of the places I went in those craft. Pretty hairy !!
At any rate, now that I started looking for the kits, I recently saw that DML has released, or re-released that line of kits once again, but not the LSSC which is a favorite of mine. Possible I would consider building some of these for my step son who is interested in the history of the Vietnam war and is in the Army as a crew leader on the MLRS ( that's close to being a Gunner's Mate...I suppose )
So if anyone is out there that was in the crews or teams...or not... and wants technical info or just first-hand knowledge FIRE AWAY !!! I would be happy to help out.

p.s. for anyone starting to model the Vietnam War and wonders what color to start with....Green is a really good color. Any range of green, then red clay, brown and an assortment of each in a wide variety of applications, and for the weapons, greasy black encased in more grease, motor oil and apply more mud to infantry slogging through the rice paddys
