Experience w Revell parts breakage and missing problems (QM2)

Steelnavy just carried a message from Loren Perry of Gold Medal Models stating he was soon going to begin work on the QM2 PE fret.  Loren is a huge liner buff (his Lusitania model is exquisite), so I am sure that his fret will be excellent also.  Now I'll have to buy two PE sets....

I got an email last month from John Snyder at WEM, and he said that they are beginning the design work soon.  They probably will make enough from the Hood PE to cover the QM2 PE!

I imagine the set will have photoetched railing in 4, 5, 6, and 7 rail configurations, doors, doorknobs, champagne coolers, interiors for each stateroom, and drains and filters for the pools, knowing Peter Hall and the ludicrous amount of detail they put into their sets (I am only joking about everything in the list after doors).

From what I have heard, the QM2 set from WEM has been shelved due to lack of interest.   If you want one (or two) you should definately pre-order one from WEM.   They need something like 50 definate orders to turn a profit on an item.   If you can get 49 of your friends to go in on the order with you - then the priority goes up on the queue.
