1/350 Ships
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 4:10 PM
1/350 scale ships are great. The trick is to take your time, do lots of research, always build from the inside out, and plan on a serious amount of scratchbuilding. Resin kits are my favorite, but they can be expensive. Links to kit sources can be obtained through steelnavy.com website along with great gallery shots and kit reviews. Search Trident Hobbies website and look at Yankee Model Works kits.

Destroyers go for $75.00 to $110.00
Cruisers are in the $200.00+ range

For rigging I use .006 brass wire from Detail Accessories N Guage suppliers. All masts need to be replaced by brass wire. I super glue these up and finish them with photoetch. Tom's Modelworks has
a n excellent supply of kit specific and generic stuff in 1/700, 1/350, and 1/200 (196)

I  am sending in some photo's to SM soon.
