1/350 accessories
Posted by navypitsnipe on Sunday, August 13, 2006 7:29 PM

I'm currently building the Glencoe models kit of the N.S. Savannah as a private Super Yacht and am looking for several things to detail it with. Things i'm looking for include: Motor whale boats or small patrol boats, liferaft canisters and some kind of deck crane. I would also like to find a couple helo's to put on the helipads i'm building onto it; 1 small/medium helo (maybe a lynx or dolphin) and 1 large cargo helo (maybe a seaknight or osprey) but i'm not sure where to look for them. Does anybody have any ideas?

  Thanks in advance, Robert

The best (IMO) manufacturer of aftermarket details in 1:350 scale is L'Arsenal out of France.

http://www.larsenal.com/GB/catalogue/Arsenal/1_350.php

While most of their items are WWII vintage, their Dauphin helicopter might look sharp on your updated/modernized NS Savannah.

L'Arsenal makes some nice 26' Motor Whale Boats (also WWII vintage)

Commanders/Iron Shipwright offers a set of aircraft carrier deck vehicles in 1:350 scale which includes a deck crane

ISW also offers both a SeaKnight and Sea Stallion

Commanders is also the US distributor for Veteran Models detail parts

Yankee Modelworks Bit Parts include items such as a Rigid Hull Inflatable boat - (RHIB)
