Lady luck doth shine on me tonight

Don't ask me how it happened, but I just picked up a Heller La Reale for 32 bucks.  I've been trying to get this kit for a while.  So now, with 5 kits waiting in the wings after my Cutty Sark, I'm good to go for the next few years....

Anybody know any sites that have pics of the completed build?

Congratulations!!! The Reale de France is a very impressive kit.

Maybe this site can help. I’m afraid the pictures are rather poor but the text makes up for that.

Good luck

I’m sure it will be. And the result will be amazing. It really is a excellent model.

You know, I bought this kit at least five years ago but still haven’t started it yet. However, every once in a while I open the huge box and just sit there marveling at the beautiful carvings, reading the instructions (again) and imagining how it will look in the future.

Too many models, not enough time…..

I know what you mean there.  My backstock of "kit's-to-do" keeps growing.  I'm almost done with Revell's 1:96 Cutty Sark, then get back onto the Heller Soleil Royale.  I've got two 1:96 constitutions to do for my boys, then hop on the Heller Victory.  Now, add the La Reale to that...

I'm probably going to do some assembly line stuff, so that I can work on at least a couple at a time...haven't decided yet.  This La Reale is probably going to jump ahead in the line though.  It's a painter's dream and I can't wait.

I just wish there were some more sites that detailed the kit.  The link you gave was really good, but rather limited on pics.  Thanks though.
