I am now starting on the Heller Preussen and find that there were no blocks included with the kit. Anyone know if this is normal or did I get a dud.

Other than the 1/100 scale Victory and Soliel Royale Heller kits don't come with blocks.Model Expo is your best bet for wood blocks.

Rod is right.  You might also take a look at the range of Britannia metal blocks from Bluejacket (www.bluejacketinc.com).  The smallest ones in that range are considerably smaller than any of the wood ones I've seen.

Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.

Thanks for the info. I have lots of blocks from other models so when I reach that stage of construction I will see what I can use or I will order some.

I built the Heller Pamir a few years back and it did come with blocks. I intend to rig it as it would appear in port. That's a long way off yet.
