Welcome to the Dark Side

Let me suggest before you attempt a big project such as a BB Musashi with a PE suite, that you undertake a learning project to help you learn some of the new techniques that you will need to master.   While PE application in the ship modeling genre' is not radically different from other hobby segments, there are some new techniques you will need to master.

I would suggest that for your learner kit you look at the Tamiya Fletcher with the Eduard PE (since you are planning on Eduard for the Musashi).   That way you will not feel as overwhelmed when you open the kit and see the hundreds of teenie-weenie parts.   The Tam Fletcher is relatively in expensive  - and you will not be afraid to work on and learn from the kit for fear of screwing something up.  Believe me, it is a more common occurance than you would think.

I am adding the new Trumpeter USS England to my list of learner kits.   It is also relatively inexpensive and is a well engineered kit.   The kit includes a mimimal PE fret and extra railings necessary to complete the job are widely available and are inexpensive.   Out of the box, the England is an attractive 5-N Navy Blue overall, but there are numerous dazzle camouflage patterns that were applied to Buckley-class DEs which will make your kit distinctive.
