Built about 4 of each...Sails are Vac form and very thick but the kits are good solid moulds. No surprises and very cheap over here in Warsaw...deck stanchions and railings are best replaced by pins and wire but other than that good kits and lets face it not many new yacht kits out there.

Incidentally, they are both famous Polish yachts.Opty was the first Polish yacht to sail around the World singlehanded and Polonez was a famous racing yacht.

Thanks for reminding me, found the links here:

They both look like nice models judging by the photos. The Polonez seems to have cloth sails - not sure whether these were supplied in the kit or added by the builder?

There is one in that Polish website link I sent you some weeks ago.  I do not have the link handy but can find it if you like.

Has anyone here built these kits, or has them in their "kit stash"? I'd be interested to know what they're like.
I know nothing about the history of the boats, but I assume from their names and the box art that they are 20th century Polish yachts.
(as you might have guessed, this question is mainly for the database of sailing ship/boat kits I'm currently working on)
