Thank´s Mike, for your fine reply to me.

I lost all my ships collection some years ago under a transportation. But no hard fealings about that no more,  still have my navy sailor, time to build a second armada.

Well, it seems thunderjet beat me to it!

The only thing I can add is that Tom Graham's Aurora price guide lists its value at $70-80.

Howdy

Yes, I remember the kit well. It was part of the Aurora models line up of plastic figures that started with Knights of the round table in 1956. In 1958 the company introduced a USAF pilot, Sailor, Marine and Army infantryman kits. All figures were in 1/8 scale and measured about 8 1/2 inches  in height. Apparently they were poor sellers and were only produced 1958-59.(although the USAF pilot re-appeared as comic book figure Steve Canyon in 1960) As for  the "Sailor"(the sailor was cast in white plastic, depicting the US Navy summer uniform) box it depicts a scene of two swabbies(in dress whites) walking down a gangplank with a cruiser or battleship turret appearing as the background. If you check the famous internet auction site under models, they turn up there from time to time. And yes, I still have my example of this kit, built in the late 1950's, he stands a tight  watch over my collection of ship models!

Warm regards

Mike M.
