Thanks for the reply Scott. Have made a start on mine already and down to the painting of the big sections (hull decks, island superstructure, etc...)

Will start putting Sara together in the next day or so, so will post some pictures for all to see.

So far, the kit has been problem free. The deck is the trick at the moment though as the guide asks for Deck yellow ! I want it to look more like "stained deck".

For all interested ? the kits is wonderfull, particularly the flash free result of all its pieces. Aircraft included are also of a high calibre and quite large ! so should be able to put a lot of detail in.

Talk soon guys ! Till then happy modelling to all from Down Under !

While surfing the ship model sites such as Steelnavy and Modelwarships, I have seen a lot of posts where modelers have just gotten their Sara's, but so far, looks like nobody have finished one yet.

Have been waiting for just such a release for a long time now as I feel that this class of ship best represents the "Golden Years" in Aircraft Carriers.

Trumpeter's 1/350 USS Saratoga looks great both in detail and size, however, so I get it right, does anyone who has already built tis ship, have any ideas, tips etc... for someone who is just about to start ?
