I have the kit and I got the White Ensign Models PE sets (superstructure, detail and AA sets), and I must say the kit is very nice. I haven't started it yet (will be about 4 to 6 weeks before I start). There are a couple of guys in the Kriegsmarine GB that are working on this kit as we speak (Yann Solo is one of them). If he doesn't see this post send him a PM or post this question in the Kriegsmarine GB.
I did a lot of research before settled on the Tamiya kit and everything I had read was very positive. Like all ships in this scale, they benefit from adding on some nice PE railings, stairs etc.
