I'm with Vladimir about the 1/350 Kirovs.  These awesome nuclear warships are considered to be the last of the BattleCruisers and I think they embodied everything a Battlecruiser was meant to be, but with great success instead of being a white elephant.

The ships are also beautiful.  Not until the Burke's was so much style and elegance put into a naval masterpiece like the Kirovs, and the Russkis still look better even today.  The Kirovs are a remarkable leap ahead in surface warfare technology and firepower.  Even today, the U.S. Navy hasn't produced all the features you see in such abundance in a single ship ... the firepowwer of an arsenal ship, firecontrol of an Aegis cruiser and speed of a Burke.

I say to Trumpeter, Hasegawa or Tamiya ...... DO IT!!!!!!

Life is tough. Then you die.

The revell's Burke is not in production now but as I now there is other one firm which produce her in 1/700 which is absolutely the same as the Revells. When I say the 1/350 is based on 1/700 I mean that the parts are seperated at the same way and the steps the weapons and the sensors are fitted on the same way. Even the steps at the guideline liflet are the same.

I dont dream enough for waiting SLAVA or KIROV in 1/200 AT NO WAY, but I wait for 1/350 KIROV, and "ANY ONE WHICH ENLIGHTEN ME ABOUT THAT" I am "AT SEA" I amwaiting to see LAND!! Trumpeter WEAK UP!!.

(i am sorry for the amok:))

The Slavas, IMHO, are about the most ominous looking things afloat. They just look like the real world equivalent of the Star Wars Imperial star destroyers. A 1/350th kit of one (or even a Slava for that matter) would be sweet....Even more lined up next to the Admiral Kuznetsov.

The ultimate though, would be if they got REALLY adventurous and decided to match them with their 1/200th Sovremenny....

The 1/700 is very detailed kit in the four (verions,KIROV, FRUNZE, AD. NAKHIMOV, AND P. VELIKI) bus the 1/350 is much better scale, and the US burke DDG is a very clear example. (The PANTA'S model is based on 1/700 of revells but is much better) I t is obvious that 1/350 Kuznetsov needs to "be escorded" by Kirovs, and slavas if it' s possible in 1/350. I 'm asking if someone has any information or news about Trumpeter's intentions to produce KIROVS in 1/350.

There is a posting on SteelNavy that Stevens International (the US importer of Trumpeter) has added a MOSKVA (item # 4518) and VARYAG (item 4519) Russian "Destroyers"  [sic - they are actually SLAVA-class cruisers] to their upcoming product line.  No price or indication of availability (Trumpeter routinely announces a product 90 days before availability - I'd look for these in late January/early February).     Are they pantographs of the 1:700 scale kits? Based on past practices - - almost certainly.

As far as your posting about the Panda Burke being based on the 1:700 scale Revell offering,  what do you base that claim?    Revell really didn't do a Burke.  If there is one ( I checked both the Revell AG and Revell USA websites), Revell leased the molds from PitRoad as they have done with several other kits, including the Independence-class CVL.   There are 1:700 scale Burkes by both Dragon and PitRoad.  Panda was associated with Dragon, and their logo used to be displayed on the Dragon website.   Panda went out of business as an independent  label after just a few kits (Huey helicopter,  1:144 B-1 bomber, and several Burkes).  Dragon has recently announced the release of some "new" 1:350 scale Burkes which from all appearances (from the ad artwork) have a direct pedigree to the old Panda kits.
