Resin Type IID U-boat
Posted by redstang64 on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 12:47 PM
I've been trying to find a decent model of a type II Uboat for awhile. The 1/400 scales ones just seem a bit to smal for me. I found a  Planet Models 1/200 scale resin model of a type IID on the internet. I was just wondering if anybody knows if this kit is decent or not. And as I've never built a resin model before would it be good for a beginner?

Special Navy (makers of the 1/72 Type XXIII) are supposed to be releasing a 1/72 Type II, presumably in 2007.  If it follows the XXIII, it will be multimedia- styrene, resin and photoetch.

Do you know of any websites that have information about that? Also whats the quality on  special navy kits. I don't really want to get to spendy of a kit for my first resin- mulitmedia kits.
