The article explains, added the vertical launch hatches for tlams, he used a template an scribed them into the hull. I would like to convert the hull in such a manner, but missing the location of these hatches.  Any other suggestions or references you can think of, please forward. thanks again

I honestly don't know anything about the conversion set but what I do know is that the only time you will ever see a hull number painted on a US submarine is during its commissioning ceremony. After that, the numbers are painted over to preserve the boat's anomynity. Unless you are building this sub to represent it in its first week of service, leave off the hull number.

I just got a copy of january 2001 finescale modeler building a resin attack sub by chris appoldt:

As chris states in the article it is a flight I version, My kit did not come with the drawings listed in the article, does anyone have a copy of them. Second do they still make the template used in the article. Lastly are there any aftermarket decals to change the number from 688 to 720.
