After I reread the original posting several more times, I think he may have the old Sterling motorized wooden model of the Missouri. It is advertized as being 1:192 scale and about 55 inches long by 6 inches wide.
If the intent is to rebuild it completely, including the missing superstructure, you will probably need a good set of plans. There are some of the old Sterling plans for sale on eBay right now -- google Sterling Model Missouri. You may also want to purchase some other plans, say from the Floating Drydock or other plan service.
Once you get the superstructure rebuilt, there are suppliers of aftermarket details which can be used to complete the model (guns, bulkhead fittings, radar, etc). The paint color will be a function of the period you are modeling. During the WWII era, US Navy colors were based on a purple/blue color scheme. Post-war they were based on a neutral gray.
But first you need to verify the scale.
