Destroyer Escorts

Has anyone ever seen an Edsall class destroyer escort kit from any company, in any scale? I am desperate to find one to build for some vets that live around here. They all served on Edsall's at some time in their careers and thought they would like a mini-Edsall to put behind the bar.

I don't Know of a kit but the USS Edsall (DD-219) was a "flush deck" Clemson class destroyer. She was lost 1MAR42

The specific ship I'm trying to do is the USS Stewart DE-238. Looks like I might have my first scratch building experience. Oh well, need to broden my horizons a little. I've scratch built parts before but not an entire ship. Better start clearing off my desk.

I believe Skywave/PitRoad does an Edsall Class DE.

You can always get a Buckley from Revell (box scale) or Iron Shipwrights (1/350) and do the necessary conversions. The hulls were the same.
